Managing Anxiety
GCS are running a free course that will help you to understand more about Anxiety; the effects of anxiety, how it impacts your life and how you could develop positive coping techniques to improve your every-day life
DATE: Tuesday 4th June
TIME: 10.00 to 12.30
VENUE: Melrose Community Hall, Basingstoke, RG24 9ES
X 5 Tuesdays; 4th, 11th, 18th, 25th June & 2nd July. All days to be attended
Who is this course for? Anyone who would like to improve their wellbeing.
Previous knowledge/experience (please include how this will be accounted for): None needed
What you will learn:
1. Define what anxiety is and identify at least 3 ways it can affect us.
2. Explain how emotions and feelings impact on our behaviours.
3. Identify at least 1 negative thought pattern and create a plan to manage them.
4. Compare at least 3 positive coping techniques to manage anxiety.
5. Evaluate and plan next step for progression in personal development.
How you will learn: Through a work booklet, discussions and individual reflection.
How you will be assessed: Through observation, RARPA, questioning and the work booklet
For the first session you will need to buy/bring: A pen and a willingness to learn
